Restaurant in Benimantell - Casa Paco
Paqui and Manolo decided to continue with this family tradition 24 years ago. Paqui’s grandfather bought this ancient house in Benimantell, turning it into the main bar of this town. After two generations, now is his granddaughter’s turn, who together with her husband, has maintained the traditional essence of the ancient houses of Alicante. In fact, when you enter to the dining hall, you will find hydraulic tiles, high ceilings and walls covered with family memories and old pictures. Besides, there is an anecdote about the main beam of this house since it was the first iron beam that was built in Benimantell, and as you can imagine, it was very difficult to carry it since this happened 75 years ago.
Casa Paco Restaurant is located in the old town of Benimantell and its spacious dining hall is really cosy. As this restaurant is decorated with ancient farming tools, the cuisine of Casa Paco is based on the traditional local stews.
You may come into this restaurant by one of the town streets, which is the main entrance door, but if you wish, you can also enter by the garden, where there is a free car park for customers.
This restaurant is also provided with a wide terrace, which is ideal to have lunch or dinner in summer.
This restaurant in Benimantell opens every day, except on Friday for weekly break.
In summer (July and August) it is also opened on weekend evenings (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
This restaurant has an estimated capacity of 80 diners.
Paqui will delight you with traditional dishes from our mountains, like ‘Olleta de Blat’, soups, ‘mintxos’ and rice. They are also specialized in grilled meat and local cold meat. We do recommend letting Manolo guides you since he will tell you which are the best products of the day, and you may choose between their assorted menus, the tasting menu or other fantastic meals.
Moreover, now they count on their niece’s help, who is specialized in pastry making. Their desserts are traditional but also innovative, so you cannot pass the opportunity to taste them!
