Once you arrive to Guadalest and your car is parked, you will find at your left, next to the washing place, the Restaurant Mora. It is a restaurant in Guadalest with a lot of tradition since several generations have worked to serve and assist with great care all those diners who decide to taste their specialities.

You may choose between their three different dining rooms, and if you enjoy the sunlight, the restaurant is provided with a small terrace.


Three generations have already worked here. What used to be a car park in the 70’s for the first cars and buses that arrived to Guadalest was finally turned into the restaurant of Guadalest that is being presented.

The restaurant is divided into three little dining rooms and it has been changed over time.

Firstly, Uncle Mora (the grandfather), then Juanito Mora (the father) and now Vanessa Mora (the daughter), they all have grown professionally as time goes by. Juanito will welcome you at the arrival, while Vane, his daughter, is in charge of the cuisine, counting on the help of Javi.


This restaurant in Guadalest opens every day, except on Mondays for weekly break. 1:00 pm. – 5:00 pm.

Saturday night: from 7:00 pm.

Food Style:

We heartily recommend the so-called ‘Olleta de blat’ in the winter season, and especially the soup of the house, which is cooked by Vane according to the recipe she inherited from her great-grandmother called Dolores.

If you like rice, the casseroled rice is still being cooked as Uncle Mora used to do, although many other varieties may be savoured now. You can also taste charcoal-grilled meats, roast lamb, rabbit with cherry sauce, stuffed escalope, hake dressed with cider and many other dishes.

For those who are vegetarian, we would like to highlight the paella with vegetables.

A huge variety of starters and desserts complement their rich menu and don’t forget to taste some herbero, a traditional herb liquor of the Xortà Mountains which Juanito himself prepares.
